My Story: My studio sits in the Foothills of Tucson, Arizona, where I find my inspiration every day. I love the colors and the textures from nature that surround me and try to recreate the desert in my glass and jewelry. I love gemstones and rocks of all colors and shapes. I love creating lampworked glass in the flame. And I like to use silver and gold to enhance my jewelry. I call my work a harmony of glass and metal.
The stone: Yes, this stone is glass, but I didn't make it. I bought it from a lapidary artist at a show several years ago. It is made from an old coke bottle and has been faceted. A really exquisite piece. I set this glass in sterling silver with some textured and gold accents. It hangs from a "passion" chain of sterling silver tear drop links.
The glass stone is 25 x 20mm. The pendant is 35 x 50mm. The chain measures 16 inches. (extra links can be added to increase the length)
