My Story: My studio sits in the Foothills of Tucson, Arizona, where I find my inspiration every day. I love the colors and the textures from nature that surround me and try to recreate the desert in my glass and jewelry. I love gemstones and rocks of all colors and shapes. I love creating lampworked glass in the flame. And I like to use silver and gold to enhance my jewelry. I call my work a harmony of glass and metal.
The glass cabochon: At first this glass cabochon looks pretty boring, but if you look closely the black glass is manipulated in the flame to create a raku effect. This is an organic effect that I love. I bezel set this cabochon in sterling silver and. It is added "inline" to a "passion" chain of sterling silver tear drop links which makes it hang differently than an attached pendant.
The round glass cab is 20mm. The necklace measures 18 inches.
